National Railway Safety Regulator Act of 2002 (No. 16 of 2002) (as amended)

The Railway Safety Regulator is a public entity established in terms of Section 4 of the National Railway Safety Regulator Act, 2002 (Act No. 16 of 2002). The legislative mandate of the RSR is derived from the National Railway Safety Regulator Act, 2002 (Act 16, 2002) (as amended), and is influenced by other legislation.

Minister of Transport Mr Sbusiso J Ndebele, in terms of Section 45A of the NATIONAL RAILWAY SAFETY REGULATOR ACT (No. 16 of 2002), has made Regulations in the Schedule. These Regulations are published for general information and compliance and will come into operation on the date of publication. The effect of the foregoing is that the Penalty Regulations are now legally in operation and ready to be applied/implemented.
