Keeping our railways safe for everyone is our number one priority. The National Information and Monitoring System (NIMS) simplifies the process of applying for a new safety permit or renewing your existing permit. NIMS was established as an effective monitoring mechanism and source of up-to-date rail safety information.
APPLYING FOR AND RENEWING YOUR SAFETY PERMIT
New operators must apply three months before operation. Existing operators must apply three months prior to the expiry of their safety permit.
